We look after our children and as they grow up and when we grow old we have a vision that our children will give a helping hand for our living till the last days of our life. But when this vision is shattered by the unkind behaviour of our own children, we feel that we are in the streets and nobody is there to help us. Here at this point the "Sree Sailam Old Age Home" steps in to take care of the needy who is old and neglected by their own kith and kin. The "Sree Sailam Old Age Home" intends to help the destitute with food, clothing at free of cost. The Home is situated at Madaipara, near Madai Sree Vadukunda Shiva Temple in Kannur Districts of Kerala State in India.

Trust inauguration

Sree Sailam Charitable Trust was inaugurated on 28th June 2009 by Srimad Amritakripanandapuri, Matha Amritha nandamayi Madom Kannur. The function was arranged in Madai Vadukunda Shiva temple  Auditorium. The need for an old age home near this Shiva Temple was emphasized in the inaugural meeting. The home is situated in an old school (closed) near Vadukunda Shiva Temple lake, which is just 300 meters away from temple. This building is taken on rental basis at present and we are planning to take over this  in future. For this laudable service the finance is to be arranged by donations from kind hearted people around us. Initial expenses estimated is around 1 million  rupees (US $ 20,000).  more >>
